  • Activities permitted under the license: PAPGs can offer a wide range of payment services, including:
    • Acceptance of payments through various channels (online, offline, mobile)
    • Payment routing and settlement
    • Reconciliation of accounts

    • Value-added services like cashback, loyalty programs, etc.

 

  • Regulatory requirements: PAPGs are subject to strict regulations by the RBI, including:
    • Minimum net owned funds (NOF) requirement of ₹25 crore for PAs and ₹15 crore for PGs
    • Capital adequacy ratio (CAR) of 12%
    • Compliance with Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) norms
    • Data security and privacy requirements

Prerequisites for obtaining an RBI PAPG license:
